It is a chemical reaction in which an atom loses one or more electrons
to oxygen atoms. Last week the sixth grade children we did some amazing
experiments about it and we checked that if you rub an apple with lemon it
protects the interior part of the apple and it oxidizes slower. Moreover, we
mixed hot water, yeast and sugar and we discovered that depending on the
quantity of sugar you add, more or less carbon dioxide will expel this mixture.
That happens because of its fermentation. We had a really good time learning it
by practicing it!
