Una paraula es pot utilitzar en sentit propi o en sentit figurat. Normalment el context de l’oració en què es troba la paraula ens ajuda a determinar si el seu significat és propi o figurat.

Quan una paraula es usada en sentit figurat, perd el significat original i n’adquireix un altre que hi està relacionat.

Aprofitant que a cinquè disposem d’iPads, hem treballat aquest contingut d’una manera diferent. Us animeu a esbrinar quin sentit figurat tenen aquestes imatges fetes per nosaltres?

Benvinguts al Modernisme

La setmana passada els nens i nenes de 1r vam tenir l'oportunitat de descobrir un hospital una mica diferent... L'Hospital Sant Pau. 

Gràcies als guies, vam aprendre els elements principals del Modernisme i els vam poder veure i identificar en primera persona.

Georgina and the Dragon

Last week we had a special visit... Georgina and the Dragon came to Palcam! We enjoyed a fantastic performance about a brave girl and a strange dragon who finally become really good friends and we had the opportunity to participate in the play!

Bye bye fears

Els nens i nenes de 2n hem decidit acomiadar-nos de les nostres pors. Així doncs, les hem descrit en un paper i les hem ficat dins el nostre globus. 

Després de molt bufar, hem aconseguit que quedin ben tancades per després fer-les volar pels aires i no veure-les mai més!

Primer i sisè pinten la màscara junts

Carnestoltes està aquí i ja estem preparats! Els nens i nenes de primer i sisè hem elaborat les millors màscares que hàgiu vist mai! Monstres dels colors pels més petits i màscares venecianes per als grans. Quin goig quan les hem vistes acabades i què bé treballar tots junts!

Excursió a la fàbrica Nissan amb 6è

Els nens i nenes de 6è ens hem quedat bocabadats amb les innovacions que ens va presentar Nissan, els cotxes quasi anaven sols! També vam visitar la fàbrica per dins, on vam poder veure totes les persones i màquines que intervenen en el procés de muntatge d'un cotxe. I és més.... quan ja vam ser uns experts sobre el tema, ens van confiar la construcció d'un cotxe!

5th Grade: Workshop – Pancake Day

In workshop, we have been working about the different festivities celebrated in United Kingdom.

During these weeks we have studied the festivity of Pancake Day thanks to a video project. In class we have read about the festivity and we have looked for the recipe for cooking pancakes.

Individually or in pairs, we have become super chefs and we have recorded a video while we were cooking pancakes. You can watch at the videos how the students have taken the great chef they have inside and have put all their energy in cooking (and eating) the pancakes.

Thanks to that, we have discovered an English tradition and many vocabulary, and the students have been able to practice their listening and cooperative work skills. They have enjoyed a lot the project, and that is that, learning by playing can be the best option, and we know that.

The sixth grade children go to the laboratory!

Do you know how to separate solutions such as salt and water? Is it possible to pull apart oil from water?  How could you do the same with soil and milk? Mixtures separation techniques can answer some of these questions and that is what we have done in the laboratory: filtration, evaporation, dissolution and decantation are some examples of it. We practiced it in groups and we drew conclusions. It was amazing!
