English Activities in Primary

CLIL: This project incorporated not only Science but Arts and Crafts and Co-operative work as well. Our Year 3 students have been doing some serious multitasking and having fun too!

We have been using Kahoot quizzes to make learning a lot of fun in English lessons. 

Year 5 have been reading and listening to many different adapted stories as a way to improve their English.  

A creative way for our Year 5 students to write a text using "Pages" on their iPads. The students had to write about different jobs and then record themselves reading the text and add loads of pictures of course! 

We have found dubbing videos with "iMovie" to be a great means of co-operative learning and a fantastic way for the students to improve their speaking and reading skills. Year 5 created these films about Dig- Dig- Diggory Bones and his adventures with the evil villain Brutus Grabbe.

Year 6 students created their own chants using the app "Canvas" to consolidate the vocabulary they have learned this unit.

An original way to reminisce about our Summers as Winter approaches and the weather gets colder and the days get shorter. Year 4 used the past simple tense to explain our holidays.

These model were made by our Year 5 students to show off what they have learned about ecosystems. 

Another example of our bright students multitasking and showing their skills in Science, co-operation AND in Art to produce these animal posters. Well done Year 3!!

Finally, our Year 5 students created this fantastic display of everything that they are thankful for!
